Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

Here we have collected the most common questions we get
Our general terms and conditions

How does it work with the final cleaning?

The tenant is responsible for the object being cleaned at check-out. If the tenant wants to buy a cleaning service, we have contact with some cleaning companies that we are happy to recommend.

When do I need to pay for my booking?

The advance payment / down payment is paid a few hours after the time of booking. The remaining amount plus the deposit is payable 35 days before arrival.

What is the deposit fee?

Deposit is a sum that is refunded to the tenant after he leaves the object in undamaged condition, cleaned and on time. The deposit is refunded no later than two weeks after check-out.

Can I bring pets?

In some of our houses you can bring a dog, you can see this in the object description. In the case of other pets, this must be checked with the property owner, the same applies if you have more than one dog. The tenant is responsible for the pet being room clean and kind to furniture & surroundings.

Other questions

Private cottages

There are private things in the house, should that be so?
Several of our cottages are often private holiday cottages, where there are sometimes private things in cupboards, drawers and sometimes the cottage owner has marked his own drawer in the freezer. We hope everyone understands that.

Midsummer we only rent to families who want a quiet midsummer.

Can we bring an extra bed for another guest?

No, it is not allowed to bring an extra bed for an extra person.
– Why, there is room in the house for an extra bed?
– Well, because the holiday homes are usually not adapted for so many guests, in terms of size of drains that can quickly become full. The hot water is not enough, the bins are not enough, parking facilities do not work, there can be many reasons why you must not exceed the number of guests.
This also applies to children. In some cabins, a child under the age of 3 may be included in addition to the number of beds specified, but then this must be confirmed by the cabin agency. Feel free to contact us and we will see what we can do.

Can friends visit us with a caravan / motorhome / tent?

No, it is not allowed for your friends to come and camp / have their motorhome / caravan on the plot / house parking.
If you have a caravan / motorhome with you, Kobbar & Skär must be informed about it.

What day is check-in & check-out?

The rental period is always Saturday-Saturday (with the exception of week 25 and week 26, unless the tenant & the intermediary have agreed otherwise. Week 25 is the midsummer week and is rented full Saturday – Sunday, 8 nights. Week 26 applies from Sunday to Saturday, 6 nights.

Should I bring bedding?

Bed linen & towels are not available in our objects, the most common is that the tenant brings this. Bed linen & towels can be rented from us or possibly from the property owner on request. Email us regarding this and we will solve the alternative that is best suited for the particular object you are interested in. Duvet and pillows are the same as the number of beds. Please note that our sheets are washed at home and dried outside if the weather allows to save on the environment.
